The motherboard you get for a 478 pin intel chip isn\'t that great. This chip is kinda good cause i had it but only had it for about 2 months then the computer fried. |

With this chip, you get the bigger 1mb cache, the older 533mhz fsb. Great chip if you are on a budget. Good price to peformance for an excellent mid level chip. Plays all the games pretty well. Leaves money for a good video card. |

Replaced Celeron D installed in older Intel D865PERL board, took right off with no problems! Runs cool (38C) with copper heat sink with 80mm fan and Arctic Silver 5 thermal compound. Very pleased with purchase and performance. Runs Vista smoothly, earns a solid 4.0 Vista User Experience Rating, Good card for older games. |

Best I\'ve ever seen. 2007-01-06 06:50:48 Reviewed by puk from Denver, PA US

These make excellent entry-level RAID controllers, ideal for small servers, workgroup filestores and home PCs that store important documents. 3dm, the 3ware disk manager, runs under Linux in both x86 and x86_64 environments with no problems although it should be noted that the required package is 3dm2 which is packaged for the 3ware 9xxx cards on the 3ware download site. We will be buying more of these for future dedicated servers and will recommend them to any clients who desire that little bit extra resilience in their data storage. |

It is easy to use and setup. I use it with Debian and have 8 drives hooked to it. I\'ve experimenting with two cards in one machine -- so far I have had good luck with it. I called their tech support with a Q and got through without too much hassle. The tech was helpful and I didn\'t have to sell my soul to talk to him. Bonus points! |

This card is so much faster than my previous card, RAID 5 writes fly. Verification proceeds much faster. Installation was quick and painless. And, 3Ware tech support answers their phone and responds to email. That alone is worth the price of admission. |

I cannot emphasize enough 3Ware\'s live, knowledgeable, responsive tech support. If you want to deal with RAID card manufacturers residing on another continent and/or who sell cheapo cards, I wish you the best. I\'ll stick with 3Ware. |
