Happy with it 2006-11-05 09:52:13 Reviewed by Anonymous from Saint-Laurent, PQ CA

I've had this processor over a year now and all I can say is that I am very satisfied with it. It is quite fast and can handle most of my software without any lag. However, due to being a single core, I must comment that heavy multitasking with this processor isn't its best feature. For example, playing a game like FEAR and encoding a DVD isn't a good idea lol. Still, it can handle most of the things you throw at it. I've overclocked it to 2.5GHz sucessfully, but I couldn't go higher due to my motherboard. If you're still in the market for a 939pin processor, this could be your pick! |

64 bit processing, great overclocking 2007-01-13 19:54:25 Reviewed by maxwell stevenson from lewiston, ME US

If you run this with 64 bit apps, you will get a 10% performance boost. Not only that, but these overclock to speeds upwards of 3 ghz. At that performance, for that price there is no reason not to buy, for a budget gaming rig. |

Like an intel P4 3.5Ghz CPU 2007-01-06 07:00:11 Reviewed by puk from Denver, PA US

Its like an Intel P4 3.5Ghz CPU but alot faster and alot lot better at gaming. The dual core processors are even better yet. I have an amd athlon 64 x2 4200+ AM2 and I was playing 2 games at once and watching a movie with NO LAGG. AMAZING. This 3500+ would lag though so don't try that. |

| The Good:
(1) It works and (2) it costs far less than buying one of those USB-powered active adapters or a new DisplayPort monitor. |
| The Squirrelly:
At first the adapter did not seem to work because my monitor said No Signal. Then I noticed I could pull the adapter out without pushing the release button. That made me realize the adapter was probably not in all the way. I pushed on the adapter some more (harder than I thought should have been required) and then I heard it click -- at which point my monitor received a signal and I was able to configure it. |
| Pro Tip:
Using this adapter to run a 24" Acer X243w at 1920x1200 as the primary monitor on a Sapphire 5770 Vapor-X in Eyefinity mode. This monitor is between a pair of 19" Dell E197FP monitors running 1280x1024 with DVI to VGA adapters. Running 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium with ATI Catalyst Control Center 2010.0406.2133.36843 and the free version of DisplayFusion 3.1.8 so I can get 1 wallpaper to span the 3 monitors properly. |

i bubbled this item and was shocked so i'm debating this over the Zaasu monitor which has good on display software but i need more than 22/23 in and this has a high contrast ratio with 5ms. PRO ratio plus price and higher back neck or display stand for tall folks. CON no speakers |

I have this card paired with four WD 160GB drives (7600 rpm because they were cheap) in my 64 bit Vista machine and it literally screams!Much faster than a standalone drive on the integrated SATA controller on the MB. |
