This is one of the best pentium 4's you can get for your socket 478 motherboard. With a good video card anf good memory, you will be set for many games at high resolution and graphic levels. |

Poor me. Lucky me. I started over-clocking the systems I built in 2004. I had picked up an ASUS P4P800 mobo, a Pentium4 2.4C Northwood processor, and an OCZ Gold EL DDR500 dual channel kit (2x512mb).
That was a stable system, but I wanted more. I had to have more. I switched over to the Prescott 3.2E, and swapped out the 1GB memories for a 2GB kit. This time, I had the system running FSB @ 1,000 Mhz. But the memory controller on the mobo degraded after six months.

This thing is a little slow when it comes to gaming but its still not too bad.
If you compare it to AMD on the other hand then AMD owns. |
