Have this installed on an AMD Athlon64 4000+ socket 939. Overclocking from base of 2400MHz to 2550MHz, the system is running at 25°C/77°F. Compare this to an AMD stock cooler which runs at about 35°C to 40°C. The cooling is amazing. The fan motor itself makes no sound whatsoever, but the amount of air it pushes out the case makes quite a bit of air flow which can be a little loud blowing through the case fan grates - still quieter than most anything else out there. I bought this heatsink/fan because I needed a good Socket-754 fan to use with my Turion and Mobile Sempron CPUs. This heatsink/fan works like a charm and works great with my MSI motherboards. The whole unit looks large, but doesn't interfere with any part of the motherboard (and one of my boards has a heatsink that lines up right nexxt to the CPU retention module). A great buy! |

For the price, you really can't find any better CPU cooler than this. It's quiet and it will cool your system down by a few degrees. The design of this cooler is very efficient and it's got rubber holding the fan so it wouldn't vibrate. The downside of this cooler is that it's not so pretty to look at from outside the case, since all you see, once installed, is a piece of grey metal. But, but, a great purchase! |
