Got the HD quick, installed it and loaded up some large video files. Got about 200 GB of video files on it then i tried to access these files. Drive kept freezing up on me and made a restart necessary each time. Now im in the process of getting an RMA# as this baby is going back. Spend a little more $$$ and get the Seagate. Oh and another thing...my drive only had 15MB of cache, verified this with Hitachi's own software tools! This just shows you how cheap these drives are manufactured.

Dont let the price fool you. This little sucker is quick! It's quieter than my old 300g Maxtor and seems to perform 5x faster. Had a full format and OS installation in around 30-40min. These 1 tb deals have been coming up all over the place so it should be easy to find it in the $90 range. 2 thumbs up. |
