Check under Administrative Tools, License Manager and see how many clients are connecting to your server. If you exceed your current licensing, you can get in big trouble!

If your business is growing, check licensing on your server. You may be running out. This provides access to the server for 5 additional clients. Study the Microsoft licensing for more information. |

If you are getting warnings in the Event Viewer about your licensing, you need to purchase additional Client Access Licenses for your server. The CAL licenses essentially pay for the right to access the server.
Yes, it might seem like a rip after you pay for the Server OS, the Server, etc. But, you can always run a different OS. In the long run, the Microsoft licensing has proven to be cost effective, and the world is using it!!! How can 7 billion people be wrong.... ;)
