This cooler works great on both cards. No more jets taking off in my case.I have it on my 4850 on an x fire mobo 8800gt running physics on the bottem. This cooler is half as loud as stock at 100 percent. It will fit in an xfire config but covers most slots. If i had one on my 8800gt i would not have room to install my sound card in any pci slots.4850 at idle at 50 percent fan speed = 50 c. load =62c stock hs at load 80c well messed something up try plugging it in to your power supply and not (continued...) |

My 4890 full loaded at 60c with this with the fan on 70% (nearly silent). 100% isn't loud its just not silent.
@ The other reviewer
You obviously mounted it wrong to have a 2c difference, or the fans are not working/are set too low
And your warranty is not voided, if your card ever needs to be RMA'd you just take the twin turbo off and put the stock cooler back on it. |

I purchased an eVGA 8800GT Superclocked about a year ago. Running on stock coolers, my temps were about 70C idle and 100C load. With these new coolers and heatsinks, I get around 45C/60C. Worked so well but the installation is a pain. There is adhesive on the little red washers and the clamps of the Accelero TWIN TURBO itself. Be sure to remove the wax paper otherwise you will have a hard time putting the screws in. The heatsinks also fall off easily so u might consider Artic Silver Adhesive (continued...) |
