eWiz at eForAll Expo!
October 18, 2007 to October 21, 2007
Thousands of casual and hard-core gamers, press members, and interactive entertainment professionals packed the LA Convention Center over a period of four days to preview the latest games and connect with vendors and retail partners. eWiz reached out to over a thousand gaming enthusiasts and created a buzz with our amazing prizes and giveaways. Countless eWiz fans packed our booth every hour of the day, hoping for a chance to win a prize by entering their name and email address in a raffle. eWiz at E for All was a definitely great success and a valuable step in growing the eWiz brand.

E for All 2007 was very successful for eWiz as eWiz was the only ecommerce website with a booth. The publicity at the show drew a large crowd and upon visiting our booth, all visitors were extremely excited with the high quality of our games and prizes. Many visitors did not have prior knowledge about eWiz but said that they would prefer to shop at eWiz when they learned about our low prices and great service. For the few pre-existing customers at the show, meeting the staff of eWiz was a great experience and helped them feel closer to the eWiz brand.

Hands down, the grand prize system was the biggest attraction. With a top-of-the-line motherboard, video card, processor, Thermaltake case with water-cooling system, and much more, this was every gamer’s fantasy system. Proudly displayed with its yellow interior lights glowing brightly, the system grabbed the attention of all passerby. Many visitors wanted to enter more than once to increase their chance of winning (we did however, have to limit entries to one per visitor, to keep it fair). At 12pm on Sunday afternoon, the last day of the convention, hundreds gathered in front of the booth, eager to hear their name called. Although there can be only one winner who gets to go home with this incredible system, many were happy that they had the chance to enter and complimented us on the high quality of our prizes.

Summer Slan 2K7
July 28, 2007 to July 29, 2007
We would like to thank everyone who attended this year's Summer Slan lanparty held by Ascendency Gaming in San Francisco, CA. This year, eWiz.com dominated the show from the start by giving away over $3,000 worth of prizes including an Apple iPhone!

The show got off with a strong start with S3 graphics providing free pizza for everyone. There were a number of tournaments going on including Counter Strike: Source, Call of Duty 2, Command and Conquer 3, Guitar Hero, even a good ole' fashion dodge ball competition to top it off. Things pretty much went without a hitch (knock on wood).

For those of you who participated, we hope you guys had as much fun as we did. Although our only eWiz employee got eliminated in the first round of the Counter Strike: Source tournament this year, you can rest assured that we will be back next year.....with a vengeance!

Showdown Lanfest
June 16, 2007 to June 17, 2007
It’s a bird… It’s a plane… No! It’s Showdown in San Jose!

Many thanks to all who made Showdown Lanfest a huge success! With the help of Intel, Nvidia, Gigabyte, DFI, Shuttle, and many more, eWiz was able to give away over $5,000 worth of swag and prizes to many young, bright-eyed enthusiast that came across the country to attend the event!

Here are some highlights from this year’s Showdown:

1. Joust Competition. Got beef with one of the players in the CS tournament? Well this year you can show them who’s boss by taking them out at the Joust Competition next to the eWiz.com booth, American Gladiator style!

2. Sumo Wrestling. For those of you who packed on those extra pounds from all those hours gaming (you know who you are). Use your size to your advantage and squash your opponents!

3. Gaming Tournament. The bread and butter of Showdown. This year’s tournaments featured games including Battlefield 2, Supreme Commander, Command and Conquer 3, and CounterStrike: Source.

4. Patriot Memory System’s girl clan (PMS) owning everyone that dared to challenge them in Halo.

5. Last but not least, eWiz’s babes posing with all the winners of the raffle.

It was amazing how far some diehard fans were willing to go just to get some free loot (dance, wear tattoos, streak, etc.). Thankfully despite all that, we can still consider Showdown Lanfest a PG13 event. Congratulations to all the winners out there. You guys definitely earned it.
